Evaluations will be on Saturday April 27th at Mornington Park, at 11:00am.
Practices will commence the first week of May.
All games will be at Mornington Park.
This is an instructional and developmental program for beginners as well as seasoned players.
Basic skills are developed – pitching, batting, running bases, catching and throwing. Players are also taught how to "make plays" using simple team work skills. FUN, LEARNING and TEAMWORK are emphasized at this age. All players are encouraged to try every position on the field. Players must provide their own batting helmets.
There will be at least 1 home game, 1 away game and one practice a week. There are roughly 20 games per season. Games are 1 3/4 hours and practices are 2 hours in length. Players must be at the field 30 minutes before the start of the game.
On Frank Colman Day, July 13, 3-4 players chosen from each team will participate in an All Star game at Labatt Park.
At the end of the season, in mid-August, there is a playoff tournament that allows every player to showcase the skills they have developed.
